Rabbi Barry Marcus is a descendant of the Taz, born in South Africa. He served as Rabbi of one of the largest communities in Johannesburg and also in Israel before becoming the Rabbi of the Central Synagogue in Great Portland Street. Rabbi Barry Marcus is a well-known for his rabbinical and pastoral duties in the UK, Israel and South Africa.
